What about palimpsestician (as we rework with a glimpse of the original)?

The idea of a palimpsest where a text is rewritten (as in the reuse of a writing material, skin or papyrus) I felt, was a good metaphor for our industry where we modify and change organs of communication, hopefully for the better. As communicators the historical reference might be useful in signifying some of the lost gravitas our work used to have in terms of a respected profession. “Titian“ as in statistician or politician was a fun way of creating the title. For people who know what a palimpsest is the title may be intriguing. “Palimpsester” instead might suggest type setter.
