New Discussion: Think, design, and produce!

Light Bulb X02

Design is not about the media that it is created from – it’s about the idea! It really doesn’t matter if you use a pencil, a crayon, or a computer to produce your designs. Remember you may not have your favorite design tool with you at all times. Designs come from the brain and your brain’s interpretation of form and color as appropriate for your client. Once your brain begins working on the idea you can produce it via a number of different media – or combinations of media. Think, design, and produce!

  1. Mike Willett says:

The real joy of this idea is that in today’ age, with the amazing power and help of the computer, design becomes either a fantastic tool, or a nightmare. Many think that they can design and communicate easily and professionally, but that is not always the case. Over production is often the result. Remember, it’s quality, not quantity. Plan it out, think it through, then do it. If you get to the third part comes far too easily, but the first steps take thought, preparation, even some training. If you have covered all tree bases, then you are far more likely to hit that home run we all want and ned.
