Sometimes after their brand is well established a company will try to rebrand itself (or its product, or service) in order to improve its position in the marketplace. If the company is loosing sales and market share then this might be a good idea, but – first the company should look at all the other items that have (and are) impacting it sales effort. In addition, the company needs to look at the good will that the current brand has in order to determine if rebranding would really help in bringing the product, or service, back to the forefront of the target market.
