New Discussion: Some Marketing Do’s for the Start Up Business!

Every start-up business has one concern: getting the word out. Whether it is for someone to buy their product or service, or to hear their message, it comes down to promoting what they do.

Some “do’s” for a start up business are:

1)   establish a name that indicates what the business actually does – it is difficult enough for a new business to enter the marketplace – why not make it as simple as possible for your intended “target market” to understand who you are – right off the bat,

2)   make sure that your “message” is concise, and that it remains the same thruout all of your marketing items,

3)   make sure that your logo (trademark, servicemark, brandmark) be simple, and it stand out, and be recognizable from all other logos in your marketplace, and

4)   make sure that all of your visual marketing items (brochures, ads, handouts, etc.) have a consistent visual image from item to item.
