Your Marketing, Advertising, and Branding Must Create Value!

Whatever you do using marketing, advertising, and branding – MUST create value – or add value. If it does not create value, or add value – just don’t do it!

What you do not want to do is to give your target market a negative feeling about your company, or organization – or, your product, or service. Nor do you want to present them with a message that will not be understood, or will be ignored.

I’m sure that you see examples of this each and every day: some marketing, advertising, and branding creates, or adds value for the company, or organization – – – but much does not.

If you need people to buy your product, or service – you need to market, advertise, and brand that product, or service. Since that is what you NEED to do – do it so that it makes sense to your target market. If people don’t know who you are, or have negative feelings about you, your product, or your service they will not buy – and you will not get your share of the available market!

Have you ever seen an ad that you discuss with friends or comment in groups as to just how bad it is, how it doesn’t make sense, or makes the product or service look like a bad joke? Is that the image you want your company or product to have?

It would seem that the direction for many is providing just that service, even though I would be willing to bet it was not intentional. Do you really sit back and look at your marketing efforts, or do you just pump them out? It’s not quantity that will help you build and brand, it is quality, and if it doesn’t communicate your message, stop the ad or marketing, do some serious thinking, and make sure you don’t become the laughing stock of the business World.

Humor is great in a lot of advertising and marketing. Just make certain the joke is not on you!
